This event is approved for up to 7 credits by the Centre for Continuing Health Professional Education (CCHPE). The Centre for CCHPE, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Through a reciprocal agreement between the American Medical Association and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Centre for CCHPE, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University designates this activity for AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s) up to the maximum number of credit hours noted above.

Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent at the educational activity.



How To Complete a Learning Module & Claim Credits:

Family Physicians:

To claim Mainpro-M1 Online credits for this online educational program, physician learners are required to register on this Website and to complete any or all of the learning modules.

To complete a module, the physician learner must complete the following steps:

  • Review and work through the module components: Complete the pre-test, review slide sets, case studies and animations.
  • Finally, participate in the discussion forum and complete the post-test and program evaluation

Once the above steps are completed, the website automatically prompts physician learners to the "Module Index" page, from where they may download the certificate for the module(s) they have completed. Physician learners should Save/Print their certificate(s). The certificate is the record of participation in the learning module.

Specialists:

This educational program is available for small-group learning in the format of seven (7) learning modules. Accreditation has been granted for small group sessions of one presenter and less than 15 participants targeted to infectious disease specialists, respirologists, and other physicians interested in respiratory tract infections.
